Welded assemblies are playing an increasingly important role in the logistical process chain of the automotive industry. For this, specific technical knowledge is required. Whether its a simple connection part or a complex body assembly such as a complete exhaust system – in matters of welded assemblies too, we are a competent partner for the automotive industry.

In addition to state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, we also perform weld analyses in our own laboratories, including non-destructive testing with ultrasound technology and continuous series monitoring with 3D measurement technology.

One of our main focuses is lightweight construction. With tried-and-tested solutions in aluminum, magnesium, steel, and composite materials, we support our customers in reducing the weight of essential structural elements in vehicle construction.

Our current research and development projects in material, constructive, and systematic lightweight design are concerned with alternative joining processes in multi/material design. We are also developing methods for generating and validating lightweight construction potentials.
